The Fine Print
A few particulars, before your visit:
Booking & Appointments:
Booking
Appointments may be made here. Choose a Private Styling Consultation or a Virtual Styling Consultation, select your day and time, and complete a short questionnaire, a proper introduction before we meet. We’ll confirm your slot and send your secure deposit payment link.
Deposit
A $250 deposit reserves your private slot and applies as an immediate credit toward any purchase. Should nothing catch your eye that day, no matter, your deposit never expires, and simply carries forward to your next appointment, whether in person or virtual.
Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations made at least 24 hours ahead carry your deposit forward to your next visit, no questions asked. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the deposit, as your dedicated time is reserved just for you.
Appointment Length & Punctuality
Each Private Styling Consultation is 90 minutes of dedicated showroom access and styling assistance. As each session is reserved just for you, we’re glad to extend appointments when possible, but late arrivals may result in reduced session time.
Guests
Each standard appointment welcomes up to two guests, allowing our full attention to remain on you.
Guests Under 16
Romi Gold is best suited to guests 16 and older. Younger guests are welcome by advance arrangement.
Studio Companion
Our own studio companion may be roaming during your visit, so we ask that client pets please stay at home. If you’d prefer to shop without four-legged company, just let us know when booking. Should you require a trained service animal for your appointment, kindly let us know in advance so we may prepare accordingly.
Accessibility
Our showroom is accessed via a staircase, with no elevator available. If mobility is a concern, please let us know when booking, we’re glad to discuss whether a Virtual Styling Consultation might better suit your visit.
Virtual Styling Consultations
For clients further afield, our Virtual Styling Consultation brings the archive to you. After a short questionnaire, your sizing, your occasion, your taste, we curate a personal selection for you to choose from.
In the Showroom:
Shopping Bags & Personal Items
As our showroom is an intimate space, we ask that shopping bags and personal items from other outings be left with us at the door or in your vehicle, so our archive has room to breathe.
Preparing for Your Visit
To protect delicate and vintage fabrics, we ask that guests avoid self-tanner or heavy makeup on the day of their appointment, we’re happy to provide a garment cover for trying on gowns and archival pieces.
Handling of Merchandise
Given the delicate, one-of-a-kind nature of our pieces, we ask that garments and jewelry be handled with care, and that our team assist with try-ons of structural or fragile pieces. Our archive is irreplaceable, so we ask for the same care you’d give your own most treasured items, guests are responsible for any damage resulting from mishandling during their visit.
Photography
If you’d love to share your visit on social media, we just ask that you check with us first if filming content. From time to time, we may photograph the showroom for marketing purposes, never guests, without explicit permission.
Food & Drink
To protect our archive, we ask that food and drink stay outside the showroom.
Purchasing:
Holds
Given the one-of-a-kind nature of our archive, we’re unable to hold pieces without a deposit or invoice.
Waitlist
If a piece you loved has already found its home, we’re happy to notify you when something similar arrives.
Rebooking & Second Visits
Deciding on something special shouldn’t be rushed. If you’d like a second look at a specific piece, please reach out to charleston@romigold.com to confirm its availability and to schedule a pop-in visit, as our schedule allows. Your original deposit would carry forward in this case. For a full 90-minute appointment, a new deposit reserves your time, just as it did the first time.
Authentication & Provenance
Each archival and museum-grade piece includes a note on its history and provenance where known, reflecting the care we take in sourcing.
Gifting
Purchasing as a gift? Let us know! Every piece is beautifully presented, wrapped in our signature tissue and packaging, ready to be given as is. We’re happy to include a personal note for the recipient upon request, and can coordinate delivery directly to them rather than to you, for an additional fee.
Returns & Exchanges
As each piece in our archive is one-of-a-kind, all sales are final. We’re always glad to discuss measurements, fit, and detail before your purchase, simply reach out to our team with any questions beforehand.
Delivery & Pickup:
Courier Delivery
For continued shopping after your appointment, we offer flat-fee courier delivery, including Charleston hotels, throughout the following areas:
• Downtown Charleston: $65
• Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island & Isle of Palms: $95
Courier delivery covers your Romi Gold purchases. Traveling with more than just Romi Gold today? For an additional fee, we’re happy to include other purchases from your day in the same delivery, simply let us know when arranging courier service. ⟡ While we aim to deliver within the same day, timing may shift due to weather or traffic, we’ll always keep you informed. ⟡
Curbside Pickup
Online orders and Virtual Styling Consultation purchases are shipped directly to you, or, for local clients, available as curbside pickup instead. Once your order is ready, we’ll email you to arrange a pickup time. Simply pull into the loading zone on King Street in front of the Riviera Theater when you arrive, and we’ll bring it directly out to you.

Other
Weather & Unforeseen Closures
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen closures, we’ll contact you directly to reschedule, your deposit remains secure regardless.

Photography Rental
Interested in shooting in our space? We occasionally welcome outside photo and video shoots by special arrangement. Write to us at charleston@romigold.com with your vision and timing, and we're happy to discuss availability and rates.
Agreement to Terms
By booking an appointment, guests agree to these Showroom Policies in full, including our liability terms below.
Liability & Assumption of Risk
By booking an appointment, guests acknowledge and assume the risk of any injury that may occur on the premises during their visit, including, but not limited to, use of the staircase to access the showroom, and release Romi Gold from liability for such injury to the extent permitted by South Carolina law. Guests are also responsible for any damage to merchandise resulting from mishandling during their visit. These terms are confirmed with a signature at the time of booking.
